The Band Sketches came up with its debut album Dastkari last year, that was released by Fire Records. Since then, The Sketches has been constantly growing , improving its work and making strong its fan base. The band has quite good fan following at their Official Facebook Page. These days, The Sketches is mostly seen in all the major Concerts and Gigs that are happening in the Metropolitan City, Karachi. Amanat Ali’s song ‘Thumri’ from his debut album Kohram won Best Indipop Song, beating out Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shankar Mahadevan tune ‘Aman Ki Asha’ and Shafqat Amanat Ali’s song ‘Kyun Dooriyan’.

Intrerestingly enough, Najam Sheraz won the Best Upcoming Male Vocalist Of The Year award for ‘Tere Bina’ from Shaapit.
